The Vision

The Challenge and the Opportunity

“A City Ready—But Not Reached”

London is full of churches.
Full of ministries.
Full of faithful people.
But for many Londoners, the gospel remains unseen.

Think Differently

Faith sharing is often carried out by a minority within our churches. London Mission Week is an opportunity for people to be a part of something bigger, helping to mobilise many more Christians to get involved.

Prepare Differently

There are a host of resources, tools and teams that have expertise in helping churches share Jesus. We see London Mission Week as a way to connect people, training and resources to help churches thrive.

Witness Differently

Often local churches have their own Gospel sharing activities but London Mission Week is an opportunity to show a unified church. Doing something at the same time in the same city helps to multiply the impact.

Live Differently

We see London Mission Week as a catalyst to help us all, as Christians, become more confident in sharing our faith. These mission weeks give us a taster of what is possible and we hope that this week will help shift the culture in our churches to be more missional.

The shift

“A Simple, Radical Idea”

London Mission Week is not necessarily about creating another programme but about aligning what already exists.

Three Core Principles

  1. Same Week – it’s about creating a unified moment across the city underpinned with prayer! The hope is that this will create a visible, collective witness!
  2. Your Context – you know your area and so it’s not about air dropping in a certain activity but about you discerning what might work best on your local estates, on your nearby campus, in your workplaces or on your streets. If we can help, we have a host of ideas and resources that we can connect you with!
  3. Your Expression – whether it’s an afternoon or a weekend extravaganza; street evangelism or prayer workshops; there is about your local church faithfully communicating the Gospel in your community.
This is not about doing the same thing.
It’s about doing it together.

What We Believe:

When the Church is invited not instructed
When believers are equipped not overwhelmed
When we move together not separately

Then evangelism moves from the margins to the centre of everyday life

And London will see:

  • A visible gospel
  • Real spiritual response
  • Renewed churches
  • Long-term transformation
This is not about adding something new.
It is about stepping into something shared.
